Empty Tampon Machine at Cost PlusMy kitchen cupboards are manifesting John Coffey.  But instead of flies, the evil is moths.

Ever since I started a modified Blood Type Diet, as recommended by my Homeopath, I’ve had the hardest time eliminating wheat.  So I recently began experimenting with wheat-free baking.  Wheat-free baking requires a lot of different types of flour:  white rice flour, tapioca flour, bean flour, garbanzo flour . . . well, you get the picture

I had to get organized, so I went to Cost Plus World Market.  They had these great glass jars with metal clasps and rubber gaskets, which should be pretty good for keeping the moths (shudder) out.  And the jars are very reasonable!  $3.99 for liter size jars.  A lot cheaper than canisters.  I bought 14.

Cost Plus has a lot of yummy chocolate and interesting gourmet foods.  It’s like my friend, Stephanie says about greeting cards.  It never fails that as soon as I start browsing, I have to go to the bathroom.

So I did.  At Cost Plus.  The bathroom had that dreadful fake air freshener smell. Does anyone actually think that smells good?  But, and this is what is taking us back to the beginning of my post.  Why do they bother putting in tampon machines when they don’t work or are never stocked.  The people who make these tampon machines are making a fortune!  How many times have you walked into a ladies room because you had a surprise visit from your aunt and found nothing but toilet paper?

So, here’s the challenge.  What bathrooms actually have working and stocked tampon machines?  Send me some pictures if you find something exciting!  Do people actually care about our needs or are these machines just a checkmark on the HR list?

  1. moths. yuck. been there. Let me say, those glass jars won’t stop the evil beasts. We’ve tried everything. What does work, however, is getting an additional refrigerator. We keep everything in the refrigerator, including cereal. So we bought a little on for the garage. weird, but it works. Good luck!!

Hi Jenn! Thanks, so far so good with the moths. I got jars with rubber gaskets, I have one other container that seems to be keeping them out. I’ll keep you posted!
